The Sound Generation Engine

The Generator Rack is your modular playground. At its heart lie four massive Oscillators that bridge the gap between hand-drawn artistry and mathematical precision.

• Hybrid Oscillators: Morph between hand-drawn spline waveforms, classic wavetables (with up to 16-voice unison), or additive engines featuring 1024 sine partials.

• Surgical FX: Each oscillator features dual serial FX slots with 20 processes, including spectral filtering, phase distortion, and animated spectral decay.

• Limitless FM: Four FM Oscillators (Carrier/Modulator pairs) bypass fixed topologies—any rack signal can be used as a third operator for custom FM algorithms.

• Physical Modelling: Use Noise generators and Exciters to drive Modal Resonators and Comb Filters. Create realistic marimbas, metallic bells, or patterned plucks with ease.

• Analog Grit: Integrated Wavefolders, Ring Modulators, and 13 filter models (including Ladder and SVF) with over 105 responses add warmth and character at any point in the signal path.

### Deep-Tissue Modulation

Zebra 3 treats modulation with the same reverence as audio. If you can see it, you can probably modulate it.

• Advanced Envelopes & LFOs: Four ADSR units with self-modulation and four multi-wave LFOs provide the foundation.

• MSEG Evolution: Four Multi-Stage Envelope Generators offer eight morphable curves on a shared timeline. Use the same spline editor as the oscillators for total visual consistency.

• Mod Math & Mappers: Reshape any signal through custom transfer curves or combine sources using Mod Math—multiply, add, or gate modulators before they reach their target.

• Pitch as Modulation: Pitch and gate signals are “first-class citizens,” allowing you to drive physical modelling sequences or rhythmic structures directly from the modulation rack.
