CATACOMB is a dark ambient instrument for horror, thriller, and cinematic sound design. Build slowly evolving drones, decaying textures, ghostly pads, and cavernous atmospheres that make every sound feel alive beneath the surface.

At its core lies THE DEEP — a creature engine featuring 21 eerie recordings of growls, roars, moans, screeches, and other unsettling calls. Let them emerge randomly from the darkness, play them across your keyboard, or transform them into evolving granular textures.

THE SHAFT — Four Macro Rings

Sculpt your sound with four interactive controls:

• DRIFT — Unstable pitch and stereo movement.
• WRAITH — Ghostly shimmer with a +12-semitone loop.
• MURK — Morph from clean tones into decaying granular textures.
• DEPTH — Shape the size and wetness of the surrounding space.

THE DEEP — Creature Engine

• 21 built-in creature recordings, with support for your own WAV files.
• LURK — Randomly trigger creatures while holding a chord.
• DISTANCE & MOVE — Push sounds deeper into the cave with evolving filter movement.
• RAW MODE — Play recordings directly across the keyboard.
• GRAIN MODE — Reshape recordings with granular controls for position, size, density, spray, detune, and pitch, plus a dedicated modulation LFO.
• Dedicated dry bus — Keep creature sounds clear and upfront whenever you need them.
